Semarang, February 17, 2026 — The Governance Visit 2026, organized by the Accounting Community Club of the Tax Accounting Study Program, Vocational School of Universitas Diponegoro, was successfully held on Monday, February 9, 2026. Taking place at the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Central Java Province, the event was attended by students of the Tax Accounting Study Program as part of an initiative to enrich academic understanding through direct learning experiences in a government institution.

The activity began with an office tour, providing students with the opportunity to closely observe the working environment of BPK and gain insights into its role in maintaining transparency and accountability in state financial management. The event then continued with an opening session, prayer, and welcoming remarks from institutional representatives, emphasizing the importance of implementing good governance principles in the public sector.

In the main session, students participated in a presentation followed by an interactive discussion. During this session, participants gained practical insights into the process of state financial oversight and developed a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by auditing institutions in carrying out their duties. Students’ enthusiasm was evident through their active participation in the question-and-answer session, reflecting a strong interest in governance and public accountability issues.

The Head of the Tax Accounting Study Program, Mr. Apip, S.E., M.Si., stated that this activity plays a strategic role in supporting student learning. “Governance Visit serves as a contextual learning platform that allows students to directly observe how theories learned in the classroom are applied in practice. We hope this experience will broaden students’ perspectives and motivate them to become professionals with integrity in the future,” he remarked.

As a closing activity, the committee presented an interactive quiz that further enlivened the atmosphere before the event concluded with a group documentation session.

The successful implementation of this event is expected to strengthen the connection between academic learning and professional practice, while equipping students with a more comprehensive perspective on public sector governance.
