Department of Business and Finance of UNDIP Vocational School Conducts Visit to Semarang Customs Office as Part of Summer Course 2024

The Department of Business and Finance of Diponegoro University Vocational School (UNDIP) held an academic visit to the Semarang Customs and Excise Office on September 3, 2024 as part of Summer Course activities. This program aims to deepen students’ understanding of regulations and operations in the taxation and customs sector, as well as encourage direct involvement in the industrial world.

This visit was attended by dozens of students and lecturers from the Department of Business and Finance. They had the opportunity to gain direct insight from experts in the field of customs, discuss the latest policies, import and export processes, and the role of Customs in supporting the national economy. In addition, participants were also invited to tour to see firsthand the operational process at the port and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the international trade sector.

This activity is part of the Summer Course 2024 program series, which carries the theme “Exporting for a Sustainable Tomorrow: The Crucial Role of Sustainability in International Trade”. This program involves collaboration with various institutions and companies, both domestic and international, to enrich students’ insights into global challenges and the dynamics of international business. This activity ended with an interactive question and answer session involving students and Customs staff. With this visit, the Department of Business and Finance of the UNDIP Vocational School hopes to be able to provide valuable experience that is relevant to the development of the current industrial world, as well as prepare students to become competent graduates who are ready to compete in the global market.
