Semarang, October 1, 2025 – Tax Accounting Study Program, Vocational School of Diponegoro University has once again achieved a proud accomplishment in a national scientific event. Rachma Abriyani Ekaputri Aprilia, a student of the Tax Accounting Study Program, succeeded in becoming a favorite nominee in the Taxpedia 2025 Call for Papers organized by the MUC Tax Research Institute. The official announcement of the winners and favorite nominees can be viewed on the official TAXPEDIA website via the following link: Announcement of CFP 2025 Winners (https://muctaxpedia.com/index.php/muctj/announcement/view/6).

Rachma earned this nomination through her paper entitled “Digital Tax Education: The Role of Tax Students as Influencers.” In this study, she investigated the obstacles and strategies in digital tax collection, particularly for the influencer profession, through a creative tax education approach. Based on a survey of ten Instagram influencers, the study found that 80% of respondents did not fully understand their tax obligations, while 20% were compliant and regularly reported their taxes. These findings underscore that tax literacy and perceived benefits are key factors in improving tax compliance within the digital economy sector.
Through her paper, Rachma proposed an educational strategy that emphasizes social media and visual content, especially short videos, presented by fellow influencers to reach younger audiences in a more relevant and easily digestible manner. She stressed that tax students can play a dual role as academics and educational influencers to help bridge the tax literacy gap among digital creators.
This achievement not only enhances Rachma’s personal reputation but also brings honor to Diponegoro University at the national level. It is hoped that this work will inspire other students to continue producing relevant and innovative research, as well as support the development of a culture of tax compliance in the era of digital transformation.
