Semarang, May 2025 – Tax Accounting students from the Tax Accounting Program Study Vocational School of Diponegoro University have made a remarkable achievement at the Sharia Accounting Festival 2025, organized by UIN KH Abdurrahman Wahid (UIN Gus Dur) Pekalongan. In this prestigious national-level competition, which attracted hundreds of students from various universities across Indonesia, three students stood out: Rini Andini won 1st Place in the Accounting Competition, while Wiranti Amelia Asih and Mustika Dewi Maghfiroh secured 3rd Place in the Essay Competition.

This accomplishment demonstrates that vocational students not only excel in practical skills but are also capable of competing intellectually in national academic forums. In the accounting competition, the UNDIP team showcased well-structured case analysis strategies, strong arguments, and deep mastery of taxation and accounting concepts. Meanwhile, in the essay competition, they raised a timely theme: “The Role of Gen Z in Optimizing Accounting in the Digital Era”. “This is the result of a long journey filled with perseverance, intensive training, and an unyielding spirit,” said one of the student representatives. They also expressed their gratitude to the Education and Competency Team (VTC) for their continuous support and guidance.

The supervising lecturer, Mr. Sigit Munandar, M.Ak., stated that this achievement is clear evidence of the students’ hard work, dedication, and critical thinking skills in understanding the evolving landscape of accounting and taxation. Furthermore, the Head of the Tax Accounting Study Program, Mr. Apip, S.E., M.Si., expressed his pride in the students’ accomplishments. “This achievement proves that our students are ready to compete at the national level and contribute meaningfully through the knowledge they have gained. We will continue to encourage students to actively participate in competitions as part of a comprehensive learning process,” he said.

This achievement further strengthens our position as a leading vocational institution committed to producing high-quality, adaptive graduates who are ready to face global challenges.
