Semarang, April 21, 2025 – Students of the Tax Accounting Program Study, Diponegoro University recently conducted a company visit with themed “Sustainability Business in Action: Learning from PT. Marifood’s Innovation and Journey.” This activity was attended by lecturers and students of tax accounting to deepen their understanding of the importance of innovation in creating sustainable business value. This company visit took place at PT. Marifood, a company known for its commitment to producing environmentally friendly products while maintaining business sustainability. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to witness firsthand the innovation processes and efforts carried out by PT. Marifood in implementing sustainability concepts into their business strategy. In addition to gaining insights into sustainable business innovations, participants also engaged in a direct discussion with PT. Marifood’s management team regarding the challenges and opportunities the company faces in responding to climate change and tax policies that support sustainability.
This activity is expected to enrich the students’ knowledge, particularly in the application of sustainability principles in the business world and how taxation plays a role in encouraging companies to be more environmentally responsible. Through this visit, students are expected to learn directly how a major company like PT. Marifood addresses challenges in creating sustainable business value. This visit also serves as an important moment to strengthen the relationship between academia and industry, with the hope of fostering better synergy in the future to develop a more practical and relevant educational system that meets real-world needs.
