Semarang, April 15, 2025 – One of the students of the Tax Accounting Program Study, Vocational School, Universitas Diponegoro, namely Rara Tyas Ghanniiya, participated as one of the ten Indonesian student participants in the Diversity Voyage 2025 program which held in Ubud, Bali by Global Incubation x Fostering Talents (GiFT). This program involved ten participants from Indonesia and fifteen participants from Toyo University, Japan. This program focuses on Global Citizenship Education which will provide opportunities for participants to learn and explore diversity and have more in-depth discussions with international students. This activity took place for six days on Thursday, February 20 – Tuesday, February 25, 2025 and took place at Mana Earthly Paradise, Bali. In addition to focusing on Global Citizenship Education, this program plays a role in supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG point 4: Quality Education, through Rara’s participation in the “Diversity Voyage” with Toyo University, Japan. In addition to providing valuable learning experiences, this program also contributes to increasing understanding of cultural diversity and global citizenship education, which play an important role in forming a generation that is more aware and open to differences.

The theme carried in this program is “Sustainable Business x Social Change,” where participants have the opportunity to hear stories and visions from Earth Company and Mana Earthly Paradise, a sustainable hotel that provides a real picture of the application of sustainable business principles. This activity also invites participants to have a dialogue together in creating actions towards a better future.

As one of the participants in the Diversity Voyage program in Bali, Rara, a student of the Tax Accounting Study Program at Diponegoro University, shared her impressions and messages full of enthusiasm and gratitude. Rara expressed that this experience was very meaningful to her. She felt inspired by the opportunity to interact with students from various cultural backgrounds. According to her, exchanging ideas and experiences with international students has broadened my worldview and the importance of tolerance and understanding of differences.

“Participating in the Diversity Voyage program in Bali gave me new insights into the diversity of world cultures and the importance of building tolerance and mutual respect. Exchanging ideas with students from Japan has inspired me to be more active in promoting diversity and cross-cultural cooperation,” said Rara.

The experience gained from this activity opens up opportunities to share cultures and improve communication skills with other global students.
