The Business and Finance Department of the Diponegoro University Vocational School is holding a Summer Course with an inspiring theme, namely “Business Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Sustainability: Turning Ideas Into Successful Ventures”. This event is a positive step to help students and young entrepreneurs develop their insight and skills in business innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability.
Taking place from 4 to 9 September 2023, this Summer Course event was attended by more than 150 participants, including foreign students, students from various study programs and also young entrepreneurs who want to hone their knowledge in the business world. The participants attended various sessions, lectures, workshops, and workshops guided by industry experts, successful entrepreneurs, and lecturers from the Department of Business and Finance.
One of the main highlights of this event was the keynote speaker, Dr. Eng. Arief Setiawan, M.Eng is a successful entrepreneur and innovator in the business world. In his presentation, he shared personal experiences and strategies for turning ideas into successful businesses, as well as providing insight into the importance of sustainability in today’s business world.
Apart from that, participants were also invited to develop their own business ideas in creative and collaborative sessions. They get the opportunity to present their ideas and receive feedback from mentors and business experts. This event provides a valuable opportunity for participants to undergo valuable experience in designing their own business.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si, Dean of the Diponegoro University Vocational School, stated, “This Summer Course is an extraordinary opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of business innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability. We hope that the knowledge gained in this event will help them in developing a sustainable and successful business in the future.”
Awards are also given to participants who have the most innovative and sustainable business ideas, who will receive additional support in realizing their businesses. This year’s Vocational School Department of Business and Finance Summer Course creates valuable opportunities for participants to increase their knowledge and skills in business innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainability. This is a clear example of how higher education can play a role in forming future leaders who can face the challenges of an ever-changing business world.
