Semarang, May 22, 2025 – The Tax Accounting Study Program of Diponegoro University successfully held an international seminar titled Visiting Professor with the theme “Economic Development and Structural Transformation: Roles of SMEs and SOEs.” The event took place virtually via the Zoom platform on Thursday, May 22, 2025, starting at 08:30 AM (WIB).
This seminar featured a distinguished guest speaker, Mr. Wannaphong Durongkaveroj, Ph.D. from Ramkhamhaeng University, Thailand, who shared insightful perspectives on the roles of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in driving structural economic transformation in developing countries. The session was moderated by Armania Wardhani, S.E., M.M., MBA, a lecturer at Diponegoro University, who led the discussion in an engaging and interactive manner. The event was attended by students, faculty members, and general participants from various universities, with over 200 enthusiastic attendees.
In his presentation, Dr. Wannaphong emphasized the importance of integrated policies between the public and private sectors to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. He also shared best practices that can serve as inspiration for the development of SMEs and SOEs.In addition to gaining valuable knowledge and international networking opportunities, participants received e-certificatesas a token of appreciation for their active participation.
This event is part of the university’s internationalization efforts and a concrete implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting inclusive and sustainable economic development.
Through this initiative, the Tax Accounting Study Program of Diponegoro University hopes to continue broadening students’ global perspectives and strengthening international academic collaboration.
