Semarang, April 30, 2025 – The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) Investment Gallery at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University was officially inaugurated by the Dean of the Vocational School, Prof. Dr. Ir. Budiyono, M.Si. This inauguration marks a strategic step in bringing the capital market closer to the academic environment, particularly for vocational students. Following the opening ceremony, the event continued with a seminar titled “Empower Your Future: Smart Investments for the Next Generation” featuring prominent speakers: Mrs. Iip Arweni Ilmiati, Senior Analyst at the Directorate of Financial Services Business Conduct Supervision, Education, Consumer Protection, and Strategic Management Services representing the Financial Services Authority (OJK); Mr. Akhmad Nuranyanto, Deputy Head of Central Java Region 1 – IDX Representative Office of Central Java 1; and Mr. Lutfi Patria Ihwan, Advisor at BRI Danareksa Sekuritas Surakarta representing BRIDS.
During the seminar, participants gained insights into the increasingly diverse forms of illegal investment schemes, ranging from fraudulent investment apps to Ponzi schemes disguised as legitimate businesses. The discussion also covered fundamental knowledge and skills in financial management and making informed investment decisions. Participants were given the opportunity to engage in direct discussions with the speakers, share experiences, and build networks with fellow attendees.
The launch of the IDX Investment Gallery is expected not only to enhance students’ understanding of finance and investment but also to improve financial literacy, promote practical learning, and foster an entrepreneurial spirit and financial independence. The gallery is also envisioned as a platform for collaboration between higher education institutions and the financial industry, opening up broader networking opportunities for students.
Furthermore, the presence of this gallery is expected to strengthen students’ vision and mission to continue innovating, achieving excellence, and making real contributions to the wider community.
