Diponegoro University experienced a historic moment with the farewell and welcome of the new Chancellor. The period of leadership of the Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum, who supervised his beloved alma mater from 2019 to 2024, has ended. Instead, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., has officially served as Chancellor of Diponegoro University for the 2024-2029 period.

This farewell is not just about ending a chapter, but also about appreciating Prof. Dr. Yos Johan Utama, S.H., M.Hum, who has led this university for the last five years. Under his leadership, Diponegoro University has achieved many brilliant achievements, strengthening its position as one of the leading universities in Indonesia and at the international level.

However, as we bid farewell to an extraordinary leader, we also warmly welcome Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Sc., who will continue Diponegoro University’s journey into a bright future. As an academic and leader with extensive experience, Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., is expected to bring new energy, fresh vision, and continuous innovation to this university.

Prof. Dr. Suharnomo, S.E., M.Si., has emphasized his commitment to continuing the legacy of excellence that has been built by his predecessors, while also developing new visions and strategies that are in line with the dynamics of the times.
