Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Manda Maulidah, a student of the Tax Accounting Study Program at the Vocational School of Diponegoro University, had the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Indonesian Youth Excursion Network (IYEN) 2025 Batch 17, held in Singapore and Malaysia from September 15–18, 2025.
Carrying the theme Youth Digital Innovation, Manda and her team presented their innovative idea Pantipreneur+, a digital platform designed to empower orphanage youths. The platform provides entrepreneurial skills training, business management, digital marketing, and social media utilization, while also opening access to mentoring and collaboration spaces.
“Pantipreneur+ is not just a marketplace platform. We aim for orphanage youths to sharpen their skills, explore new ideas, and build economic independence,” Manda explained during the Youth Project Presentation SDGs session. The innovation aligns with the targets of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in quality education, economic growth, and reducing social inequality.
Global Insights and International Networking
In addition to presenting their ideas, IYEN participants also took part in the Student Forum Discussion, a platform to exchange ideas and strategies for addressing the challenges of the digital era. Industrial visits enriched the participants’ knowledge, including to Beryl’s Chocolate, where they observed the production process of premium chocolate and its global branding strategies, as well as to Petronas, a multinational energy company recognized for its world-class innovation and governance.
The academic experience was further broadened through visits to Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore and the University of Malaya (UM) in Malaysia. Participants explored faculties, libraries, research laboratories, and start-up incubation spaces, while also engaging in discussions with international students on technology, youth leadership, and cross-border collaboration. Equally inspiring was the visit to the National Art Gallery of Malaysia, which provided new perspectives on creativity and digital innovation in contemporary art.
Strengthening the Spirit of Innovation among UNDIP Students
Through this series of activities, Manda Maulidah and her team gained valuable insights into developing digital ideas and their applications across various sectors. The combination of discussion forums, industrial visits, and cultural exploration emphasized that collaboration, creativity, and technological innovation are key to empowering the younger generation and creating positive social impact.
The participation of Tax Accounting students from UNDIP in this international event also reflects the commitment of the study program and faculty to fostering an excellent generation with global competitiveness. This achievement is expected to inspire the academic community to continue creating, expanding networks, and delivering innovations that benefit society at large.
